Dec. 13, 2023 — Due to a greater than anticipated demand for some CCDHHDB services and the need to stay within the Commission’s appropriation this fiscal year, we are establishing prioritization criteria for three key CCDHHDB programs: Rural Auxiliary Services (RAS) Program, DeafBlind Services/Support Services Program (SSP) and Legal Auxiliary Services (LAS), and will assess each request for services in those program against that criteria. Requests for these programs will be prioritized so those with the greatest impact on health, life, and safety will be prioritized.
In addition, similar to what has occurred in prior years, the budget for the Communications Technology Program (CTP) has for this year been expended, so requests for equipment from that program will be held until additional funding is available.
Please continue to submit requests for these services as needed as we may be able to fill a future request. This information is also necessary for our data collection efforts to properly identify the existing gaps in service and address them going forward.
